Ways to earn money in Bohol or Cebu

If you are searching from Google on how to earn more money in the Philippines, probably, you are in huge debt or you just want to earn more to save more and invest more. Whatever your reason is, you may have a headache after reading all the information that you could find online but in the end, you still can't decide which one will work right for you and for your needs.

Almost everyday, I visit google to search for ways to earn more but what I found in the net doesn't suit my style. Almost every website list just the same thing with minimal difference. So I decided to customized mine and listed it below for future reference or you could use it too if you feel like it.

Number one: FARMING

Yes, you read it right. Farming is my number one choice. Why? Simple. In today's generation, almost everyone wants an office job and hates farming because it would make our hands dirty. Think again. There are so many farmhands that you could hire to help you at a very minimal rate. It could save you from getting dirty and in the same way, you provide them a job. So easy right? But in the long run, you'll realize that getting dirty in the fields is essential for farmers. Just imagine how much you can save for doing some farm work yourself rather than hiring a farmhand. It's up to you. Now you want to ask how much will be your ROI when you invest in farming? I tell you, the rate is very high. You could earn as much as 98 percent  net from your investment per harvest. In our case, we can harvest our produce twice a year. So if we put up Php30k in one planting season and the ROI rate is 98percent net, it would give you Php29,400 and you'll re-invest your earnings from first season, your total investment would be Php59,400 and it would give you Php58,212 in the next harvest. Imagine that! In a year, your Php30k will become Php100k. Just amazing.

Precautions: your first enemy is EL NIÑO

What you need to start farming:

  • a piece of land
  • farmhand - reliable one
  • seeds
  • fertilizer
  • water source

Number two: Sari-sari Store/Minimart/Grocery Store/Convenience Store

Ever wonder how much you can earn from sari-sari store/minimart/grocery store/convenience store or whatever you call in your place? The rate ranges from 25 up to 300 percent from your capital. For grocery items, the standard mark-up is 25 percent or a little bit higher is competition is not so rampant in your area. The 300 percent could be marked up for items like clothes and perfumes. Just look for a product distributor or wholesaler in your area to avail discounted items. The less money you paid for it, the more money you could earn from mark-up.

Number 3: Backyard Piggery

Applicable only in the rural areas. Mostly in the urban communities, you can't have a piggery because it would release a stinky smell in the neighborhood. Although there are odorless piggery, you might still find some trouble along the way. Alright, this is it.
  • First thing to do is to construct your odorless pigpen at your backyard.
  • Next, purchase your first batch of piglets to be grown as inahing baboy or sows. you may start from raising 5 or 10 heads. How much is the cost? In Bohol, the usual price for hi-breed piglet is Php1500 each.
  • For three to five months, just keep on feeding and taking care of your pigs until they will reach the age when they become a mother. Usually, one sow will give you 10 piglets more or less.
  • Either you will sell the piglets as is or grow them until they reach the age suitable for roasting or lechon to get more money. Whatever your choice is, you can still earn. Just imagine if you have five sows and each sow has 10 piglets and each piglet can be sold at 1500, the cheapest. You have 50 piglets for 1500 each so you will get Php75k.

Number 4: THE EGG PLANT

I do not plant eggplants to earn money. The Egg Plant means you'll have a chicken coop for chickens to produce eggs. You may sell the eggs as is or sell the chicken. Either way, you'll earn your money.

Number 5: CATTLE FARMING

You'll need at least a hectare of land with existing coconut trees that can be used as their shades. Or if the land is bare, just plant grass for their foods and construct their housing made of nipa leaves and bamboo. Grow your cattle and sell it for meat. The best way to raise cattle is to plant your own grass for their foods. Nothing can beat the meat for grass-feed cattles.
